grad show identity

I decided to enter the Graduate Show design competition this year as I thought entering would challenge me to push my skillsets in an area I hadn't explored before. Creating the initial proposal already pushed me so much so to be short listed to get mentoring on my design was really exciting. By the final pitch to the judges I could already see how far I'd come and so to have my design chosen to be developed made me excited for what was to come. Continuing to push the design in a collaborative effort taught me so much and challenged me to look at my work in whole new ways. It's been an experience I feel lucky to have gained and am grateful for all the support and advice along the way.

final outcome

The final collection consisted of an A1 poster and animation indent. Alongside this was elements for the university's various websites and social media platforms. The final designs focused in on the bold hand drawn logo from my original proposal. The hand drawn element is something that they really liked so I drew on this when developing the animation. Here you can see the final poster as well as the animation indent.

stage 2 : pitch to judges

After getting to stage 2 of the competition I received mentoring on my design concept from a Graphic Design lecturer and developed this as my presentation to the judges for the final stage. After being selected I continued to work with the team to get the idea to its final form and deliver the required content.
